Basically W3 is a continuation of the storyline in the books which were left quite open ended; more so than it is of the W1 and 2, which feel more isolated stories. WebOct 25, 2024 · It's not essential to play Witcher 1 and 2 for enjoying Witcher 3 but I whole heartedly recommend playing them. Both games have very well written stories with multiple endings depending on your choices throughout the games and you will definitely have a good time playing them.
