WebI bought the new Fire Stick model just for this one feature, namely turning HDR competely off. This, I thought, would solve the problem with forced HDR which looks terrible on a 300nits TV. Webadaptive will enable hdr only when you're playing hdr content. on will leave hdr on regardless of what you're playing. I think "on" is the default, which is stupid because all SDR content will look overly contrasty and saturated. you'd want it on adaptive.
