With the next Ofwat price review (PR24) imminent, water companies will be balancing their desire to meet ambitious decarbonisation and ESG (environment social governance) goals with the need to address affordability given the cost of living crunch for consumers. Webbit is possible and desirable for customers’ bills not to increase above the rate of inflation over the 2005-10 period. NCC welcomes the consultation, and Ofwat’s efforts to gather stakeholder opinion in this complex and highly technical area. We would like to see consumers’ interests at the heart of Ofwat’s approach to the price review.
